Account Deletion
Last updated: 6 August 2026
1. How to delete your account
Open the MEHMBR app, go to Settings, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@mehmbr.com from the email address on your account. We will action it within 30 days.
2. Read this before you delete
Deleting your MEHMBR account does not cancel or refund credits or memberships you hold with a studio.
You bought those from the studio, and the studio holds your money. Deleting your account removes your access to the app — it does not extinguish what the studio owes you, and it does not get you a refund.
Before deleting, you should:
- Use up, or arrange a refund for, any credits or membership sessions you hold
- Cancel any upcoming bookings
- Note down which studios you hold balances with, and how much
Once your account is gone, you will not be able to see your balances or booking history in the app, which makes claiming from a studio harder.
If you have an upcoming booking, we will warn you before deletion completes.
3. What happens when you delete
Removed immediately:
- Your name, email address, phone number, address, profile photo, bio, date of
birth and gender
- Your notification preferences and notifications
- Your saved studios and classes, and who you follow
- Your emergency contact
- Your sign-in credentials — you will no longer be able to sign in
Anonymised, not deleted:
- Reviews you wrote stay published but are disconnected from your identity, so
studios do not lose feedback other users relied on
Anonymised, and retained only as long as required, then deleted:
- Booking, attendance and cancellation records
- Credit and membership transaction history
- Payment and commission records
These are anonymised at the point you delete your account — they can no longer be linked to you — and kept only as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 6 years under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. They relate to transactions between MEHMBR and studios, and contain your information only where a booking forms part of the underlying record. After the retention period, they are deleted.
4. Studios you booked with
Studios keep their own records of your bookings and attendance, under their own retention policies. Deleting your MEHMBR account does not delete their records. To have a studio delete your data, contact the studio directly — it is an independent Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. Can I get my account back?
No. Deletion is permanent. You can create a new account with the same email address, but it starts empty — no history, no balances, no reviews.
Credits and memberships you held with studios are not restored to a new account, because MEHMBR does not hold them; the studio does. You would need to sort that out with the studio.
6. Studio accounts
Studios cannot delete their account from the app while consumers hold credits or membership sessions with them. Those balances are the studio's obligation and cannot be walked away from.
Studios wishing to leave should write to support@mehmbr.com with 30 days' notice, per the Studio Partner Agreement.
